The Stitch Gathering was created in 2013 by Jo Avery who wanted to bring a specialist event for modern quilters to Edinburgh. The retreat has run annually ever since and has been a fantastic success with rave reviews and loyal fans queueing up for the limited tickets.
Jo has been quilting for 30 years and has taught many people through her myBearpaw Craft Classes in Edinburgh and at diverse venues when she is ‘on tour’! Jo’s long established blog is an expression of her passion for modern quilting and embroidery.
The Stitch Gathering Retreat is now on Hiatus due to Covid. We hope to host the next in 2021, in the meantime find out about Jo’s virtual retreats and classes through The Thread House.
