Crested Vitch is one of a range of Dream Bird patterns by Jo Avery.
Difficulty Rating: 2 = ( easy)
The crested vitch is a familiar sight to garden birdwatchers, they are regular visitors to feeders and bird tables and can be surprisingly aggressive with the other birds. Nesting in hedgerows they feed on worms and other invertebrates to complement their birdseed diet. The male sports a striking red crest and yellow body with the female a drab brown. Their distinctive ‘hoppity’ walk distinguishes them from the very similar crested boony.
