Difficulty Rating: 3 (less easy)
The parrotowl lives on tropical islands in the South Seas where it preys on small lizards and rodents. It’s distinctive ‘hairy ears’ provide incredible hearing and makes it a formidable hunter. The parrotowl’s bright turquoise breast can sometimes be spotted during the day as it roosts in the treetops. its piercing cry ‘wee-aw, wee-aw!’ can often be heard through the dark jungle nights as it call to it’s mate.
